During the Fall of 2004, I decided to take some time off from my career of over ten years in high tech sales. My husband and I started planning our wedding shortly thereafter, and we struggled to find the appropriate invitation for our wedding in the Virgin Islands. After looking through books upon books, and too many websites to count, I decided to design them.
After receiving rave reviews for our invitations, I began getting requests to design other invitations and announcements for friends and family. I then it hit me. I realized that I finally found my creative outlet. Oprah actually would have called this an "AHA!" moment. You see, ever since I was a young girl, I have always loved paper, crayons, pens, and eventually fonts and computers. So twenty something years later this really makes sense to me! Especially when coupled with my previous work experience in the printing industry.
Things got so busy that I decided to make it official, and thereby launched paperzest on October 15, 2005.
